We moved to the virtual space – our open days are held online
Due to the epidemic situation, we cannot meet in person, however, we offer numerous possibilities to get to know the school, our colleagues and our curriculum. The Brit-Magyar School response to the current circumstances will be to hold all its planned events online. When and how can you get to know our teachers? Where can you ask your questions? How can you get information on our admission process? We have collected all the necessary information you may need.
Personal impressions are essential, and face to face meetings cannot be replaced – we all know it well. Still, in the current circumstances we were forced to reshape our schedule. To be able to give all the required information to you and to get to know each other, we have restructured not only our meetings, but also our application form and the admission process itself.
Get to know our school!
We had the chance to run our teacher-parent meeting in person on 11th March. You can get a hint of the atmosphere and the structure of the afternoon by watching the video below.
Unfortunately, we cannot hold our meetings in person so we run our teacher-parent meetings online during the spring period. By joining these occasions you can get an understanding of our school and can also ask your own questions.
Our meetings will be performed via videochat, so that both of us can see each other. Representing the Brit-Magyar School, the school director, the head of English, the admissions director and the future class teachers will participate in these discussions. The online teacher-parent meetings are planned to run weekly, but advance registration is needed. You can register via this link: https://britmagyariskola.hu/rolunk/regisztracio-a-nyilt-napra/
How to apply?
If you feel that the Brit-Magyar School is the perfect choice for your child, please fill in our application form.
After having looked at the application form, our colleagues will contact the stated person on the form. Why is it important? When forming a new class, we pay attention to the children’s social competences as well as their behaviour among their classmates and the teacher. Their current kindergarten teacher is the ideal person for giving a broad picture on your children’s attitude and behaviour.
Playful activity in the virtual space
As a next step, both you and your child will be invited to a “Google Classroom” activity. What does it mean? Replacing the personal common play, we move our activity to the virtual space. This means that we run our playful activity with your child online in 15-20 minutes long blocks. The director of our school, the class teacher, the teacher for special education and the ESL teacher all will perform a 15-20 minutes long activity each. These playful activities include grammar and logical games with your child, while in higher classes, they will talk in English with the children, as well.
Have we gained admission?
After these play activities, we will decide whether this school is the most suitable choice for your child. If we offer your child a place, the education contract should be signed, the registration fee paid and then the Brit-Magyar School confirms your child’s place at our school.
We are always pleased to answer your questions, so if you still have any questions, please contact us via email or just give us a call.
